Learning to read words with Vowel Teams is quick and easy with this Vowel Teams Bundle! These ready-to-print worksheets include 10 pages that teach the regular vowel teams long a, long e, long i, long o, long u and the irregular vowels oo, ow, oi, oy, ew, and aw. These worksheets support student learning through scaffolding and learning one step at a time. There are separate worksheets for each regular long vowel so students can focus on mastering one at a time. Then once they know all the long vowels there is a worksheet with all of them mixed. Then students will learn the irregular vowels! You will quickly be able to gauge where your students are at in their understanding of reading words with vowel teams!

Long A Worksheet (ai and ay): Students look at the picture to know what the word is. Then fill in whether it’s an ai or ay vowel team.
Long E Worksheet (ea, ee, ey, y): On the first half of the worksheet, students read the word and then circle the letter(s) that make the long e sound. On the second half of the worksheet, students circle the pictures that have the long e sound.
Long I Worksheet (igh, y, ie/ies): On the first half of the worksheet, students read the word and then circle the letter(s) that make the long i sound. On the second half of the worksheet, students circle the pictures that have the long i sound.
Long O Worksheet (oa and oe): Students look at the picture to know what the word is. Then fill in whether it’s an oa or oe vowel team.
Long U Worksheet (ui and ue): Look at the picture to know what the word is. Then fill in whether it’s a ui or ue vowel team.
Mixed Long Vowels Worksheet: This vowel combinations worksheet includes a vowel team for each of the vowels. It focuses on ai (long a), ee (long e), ie (long i), oa (long o), and ui (long u). Students look at the picture to figure out the word. Then they use the vowel combination word bank to fill in the missing vowel combination.
OO Vowel Teams Cut and Paste Worksheet: Students cut out each word, read it, determine if it is short oo or long oo, and glue it under the correct column.
OW Vowel Teams Cut and Paste Worksheet: Students cut out each word, read it, determine if it is ow as in owl or ow as in bow, and glue it under the correct column.
OI and OY Vowel Teams Worksheet: On the first half of the worksheet, students read the word and then write it under the correct column. On the second half of the worksheet, students circle the pictures that have the oi and oy sounds.
EW and AW Vowel Teams Worksheet: Students look at the picture to know what the word is. Then fill in the missing blanks with ew or aw.
