  1. Count the Syllables Worksheets (2 Pages): Look at the pictures or read the words. Count the number of syllables and write it in the box next to the picture.

  2. Open and Closed Syllable House: Make a house to teach open and closed syllables.

  3. Color the Open and Closed Syllables (2 Pages): Color the doors with open syllables red and the doors with closed syllables blue.

  4. Open and Closed Syllables Cut & Paste: Read the words, cut them out, and glue them under the correct column.

  5. Write the Open and Closed Syllables (2 Pages): There are 10 two-syllable words. Read a word and write its first syllable in the "syllable 1" column. Then write its second syllable in the "syllable 2" column. Then for each syllable, color in the "o" if it is an open syllable and color in the "c" if it is a closed syllable.
